Why Is Pumpkin Good For Your Skin?

I’m sharing this super easy Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Puree Body Scrub with Vitamin E that will make your body feel soft and smooth, and will give you a beautiful glow for the fall weather. Pumpkin is very good for your skin and it is rich in vitamins and minerals, it can help soothe your dry skin and keep it hydrated. It has high levels of beta-carotene that helps fight bacteria and inflammation to the skin.

The Benefits Of Pumpkin

Pumpkins have antioxidant properties, and helps if you’re fighting acne and reduces the pores. The antioxidant can help remedy damage created by free radicals. The seeds are rich in phytonutrients, phytosterols, and minerals include manganese, copper, zinc, iron and magnesium. Try this recipe to hydrate and improve the texture of your skin.

RECIPE:

Mix together the white and brown sugar, stir in 1 tbs of pumpkin puree. Mix remaining ingredients.

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cooked (pureed) pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon carrier oil- Almond oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon vitamin E

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together, you can add more sugar if needed to reach the right consistency. Add to a glass jar with an airtight lid,  keep refrigerated until ready to use. Apply to the body starting at the feet first, this also makes a great foot scrub! Work your way up with a damp bath sponge or loofah, just keep away from the eye area. Gently scrub the feet, body, and face. Rinse with warm water.

That looks delicious! I love sugar scrubs because they dissolve in water so it’s easy to get rid of them in the shower and they don’t dry out your skin like salt does!
